Helichrysum Hydrolat

from $33.00

Helichrysum Hydrolat, also known as Immortelle or Everlasting, is another superhero for a wide variety of skin conditions . It’s aroma is warm, dry, herbaceous and lightly sweet like honey. It is wonderful for cell regeneration, and can be used directly on open wounds to clean and stop bleeding. It is highly anti-inflammatory and mildly analgesic (relieving pain), speeding up recovery and reducing scars. It can reduce the amount of essential oil needed when healing from more acute injuries such as broken bones or post operation when there is lots of bruising or swelling. Helichrysum Hydrolat supports a youthful balmy glow by reducing skin pigmentation or rosacea, taking down swelling around the eyes and smoothing fine lines or wrinkles. Mist your face after a sun burn or after you wash your face to revitalize dull skin. It is also a useful anti-itch remedy for rashes and bug bites. Use in combination with Cistus Hydrolat for vaginal disharmonies such as fibroids, tearing, inflammation, cysts, etc. (You may inquire about my course: Making Aromatic Suppositories for Certified Aromatherapists for more information on the use of aromatherapy for women’s health/vaginal health). Helichrysum Hydrolat is also a liver tonic and detoxifier as well as a natural anti-histamine. Energetically and emotionally, Helichrysum Hydrolat helps to reduce emotional extremes within, cooling heated emotions, and mental tension. Mist yourself with this hydrolat whenever you wish to drop back into your own smooth and harmonious flow!

*During steam distillation, the plant releases both a water component (the hydrolat) and an oil component (the essential oil). Each containing it’s own therapeutic properties. Hydrolats are sometimes referred to as the homeopathic approach to aromatherapy.

*Hydrolats do have a shelf life and should be stored in the refrigerator for optimal freshness!
